Ingredients: 2 ounces raspberry vodka, 3 ounces cranberry juice, 1 ounce raspberry schnapps
Finally, the sun is shining, and we can feel the end of the semester rapidly approaching. With Marathon Monday marking what many would call the Final Lap, everyone should take time to savor this last bit of the academic year. For Apt. 7, the best way to do this is by listening to Europop or trashy techno remixes and fist pumping. In honor of the newest favorite, I give you Gummibär. Cascada's "What Hurts the Most" was what first turned us on back in November en route to Daisy's. From then on, South Street was all about the remixes. Check out Leona Lewis' "Bleeding Love" remix or Basshunter's intense "Now You're Gone," and you'll feel like you're ready for cycle time at the Plex. And of course, there's the jam that M. Campbell would call a sweet beat, Gummibär's "The Gummy Bear Song" - if this doesn't make you want to pump your fist, what will? Of course, you'll need a tasty cocktail to sip while you bop. Fill a cocktail glass three-quarters with ice. Add vodka and schnapps, then top with cranberry juice, stir, and serve. Throw some red gummies in if you feel so inclined. Aww, cute! I would not recommend consuming this beverage if you plan on running the last six on Monday with a friend: quite a few saw how that turned out last year. If you like to think of running as more of a spectator sport, by all means make a couple more! While you listen, you may realize that the words truly speak to you. "Oh, I'm a yummy, tummy, funny, lucky gummy bear" pretty much sums up where I am in my life right now. If gummies are too sweet for you, turn on Lil Wayne's "Lollipop" and trade the schnapps for pineapple juice. In honor of the tasty musical genius and the marvelous summer ahead, Drink Up!
