What you'll need:

-2 tablespoons cream cheese

-2 tablespoons of fresh fruit, or jam (in this case, a couple raspberries)

-2 slices of bread

-one egg

-2 tablespoons of milk or heavy cream

-1/2 tablespoon of butter

-Powdered sugar

So I'm going to preface this recipe by saying that, it's basically the perfect study-break food. It takes about 10 minutes to make (a perfect break time) and you get rewarded with a delicious snack.

Start by beating the egg with the milk or heavy cream in a dish until they're fully mixed. Take the bread and coat it on both sides with the mixture. Once both sides are covered, let the bread sit in the dish to soak up the rest of the egg mixture.

While the bread is soaking up the love, mix your cream cheese and fresh fruit or jam together. Just about any fresh fruit will work with this, though berries will give you the best results.

Once you've finished the cream cheese mixture, the bread should have soaked up all the egg.

Heat the butter in a pan over medium heat. When the butter melts, add the bread into the pan. As the bread is crisping up on one side, take the cream cheese mixture and spread it on one of the slices of bread.

When the bread has formed a crust, create a sandwich with the two slices by flipping the bread with no cream cheese on top of the one with cream cheese. Take a spatula and push down. (It's OK if the cream cheese oozes out.) Keep cooking the toast until it's a golden brown on both sides and the two slices of toast have bound together.

Once that's done, dust on some powdered sugar for an extra burst of sweetness. Serve with some fresh fruit and a glass of milk. This study-break snack is sure to be a pleaser amid midterms!
