What do you need?
-1/2 pound ground pork
-1/2 cup cooking wine (sherry, white wine, or rice wine work just as well)
-2 tablespoon. soy sauce
-1 tablespoon cornstarch
-1 stalk scallion
-1 clove garlic
-3 carrots
-3 tablespoon extra virgin olive oil
-1/4 cup chicken stock
-1 handful chopped Chinese sausage (optional)
-1 pack of soft tofu (can be found next to the dairy section in an Asian grocer)
-1 cup frozen vegetables (peas and corn are yummy)
-2 teaspoon salt
-1 teaspoon white pepper
What do you do?
1.Marinate ground pork in wine, soy sauce, and cornstarch. Set aside.
2.Chop scallion and dice garlic.
3.Peel carrots and chop diagonally into 1/4 inch slices.
4.Heat a skillet or wok on medium-high and add olive oil.
5. Add scallion and garlic.
6.Add ground pork mixture and cook thoroughly on medium-high heat for three minutes.
7.Add carrots and chicken stock (and sausage if you're using it).
8.Cook for another five minutes.
9.Cut tofu into large chunks (a little bigger than the size of a quarter).
10.Add tofu chunks and frozen vegetables.
11. Add salt and pepper.
12. Eat and repeat ?
