Hard Cream Soda

Vanilla vodka (Smirnoff
or Absolut)
Ginger ale

So maybe this isn't quite the same cream soda that you used to enjoy years ago in your childhood, cooling off during the heat of summer.

This drink is astoundingly easy to make and has an excellent taste. For this drink to become as popular as it deserves to be, many people will need to experiment with all the new flavors of vodka out there. The combination of vanilla vodka and ginger ale creates this excellent beverage that should be catching on soon, if for no other reason than its simplicity. The ginger ale and vodka end up creating a drink that tastes just like an old-school cream soda with an adult twist.

Because the vanilla flavor is so overpowering, this drink disguises the taste of alcohol and becomes especially dangerous as a result.

Although surprisingly underused at bars, most decent establishments will have at least one vanilla-flavored vodka to make this drink orderable.

Like most mixed drinks, ice makes this beverage considerably better.

After filling the glass with a handful of ice cubes, add between 1 and 1 ½ ounces (shots) of vanilla vodka. Fill the remainder of the class with ginger ale and stir. Drink up!
